Naamsindhu – Dive into the Ocean of the Holy Name

The Holy Name is not different from Lord Krishna Himself.”

Naamsindhu is a devotional initiative dedicated to spreading the glories of the Holy Name of Lord Sri Krishna. Inspired by the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Naamsindhu seeks to inspire people from all walks of life to embrace the sublime process of chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

The Vedic scriptures explain that in this present age of Kali, the most effective process for self-realization is the congregational chanting of the Holy Names of the Lord. Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu propagated this divine process with the simple instruction that everyone should chant the Holy Name and help others awaken their dormant love for Krishna.

Naamsindhu has been created to serve as a spiritual companion for devotees and seekers by providing authentic devotional knowledge, scriptural wisdom, kirtans, lectures, japa guidance and resources that deepen one’s relationship with Sri Sri Radha Krishna through the chanting of the Holy Name.

Our Mission

Naamsindhu is dedicated to spreading the unlimited mercy of the Holy Name of Lord Krishna by inspiring people to embrace the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. Following the teachings of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, we strive to make the practice of Nama Sankirtana accessible to everyone.
Through authentic devotional teachings, scriptural wisdom, kirtans, japa guidance, and spiritual resources, we aim to help individuals strengthen their connection with Lord Krishna and cultivate a life centered on devotion. Our mission is to continue Srila Prabhupada’s vision by sharing the glories of the Holy Name and encouraging every soul to experience the peace, happiness, and divine love found in Krishna consciousness.

Founder Acharya

His Divine Grace
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), was born Abhay Charan De, on the 1 September 1896, in Calcutta. In 1922 he met His Divine Grace Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Thakur, Founder of Gaudiya Math, who requested Abhay to broadcast Vedic knowledge in the English medium. In 1933, at Allahabad, Abhay was formally initiated and made it his life ambition to expound the Vedic conclusion that real freedom means liberation from the miseries of material life : birth, death, old age and disease, a state that can be permanently attained by awakening one’s pure love for God, Krishna-prema or Krishna-bhakti.
In the ensuing years Abhay Charanaravinda (his initiated name), wrote a commentary on the Bhagavad-gita. In 1944 he started the Back to Godhead magazine, which to this day is being continued by his disciples.
In recognition of his philosophical knowledge and devotion the Gaudiya Vaishnava Society honored him with the title Bhaktivedanta in 1947. Following his retirement from married life, A.C. Bhaktivedanta traveled to Vrindavan where he lived in the humble surrounding of the Radha Damodar temple. In 1959 he took the sannyasa order of life and, as A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, started his work on the multi-volume translation and commentary of the 18,000 verse Srimad Bhagavatam. In 1965, at the age of 69, when ordinary persons are thinking of retirement, he went to the United States to fulfill the mission of his spiritual master and founded ISKCON.
He brought to the West the divine teachings of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu who taught the public glorification of Hare Krishna mantra. Srila Prabhupada, (as he was affectionately called by his followers), taught on a non-sectarian level that every living being is an eternal servant of Lord Krishna with a dormant natural propensity to experience the eternal bliss of pure love of God.

Our Beliefs

At Naamsindhu, our beliefs are based on the teachings of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Vedic scriptures and His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. We believe that Krishna consciousness is a way of life that helps every soul reconnect with Lord Krishna through devotion.
We believe that:
The Holy Name of Lord Krishna is non-different from Krishna Himself and chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra is the simplest and most powerful process for this age.
Every living being is an eternal soul and has a loving relationship with Lord Krishna.
The goal of life is to develop pure love for Sri Sri Radha and Krishna through devotional service.
The teachings of Bhagavad-gita As It Is and Srimad Bhagavatam guide us on the path of bhakti.
Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu taught that the Holy Name should be shared with everyone.
Srila Prabhupada dedicated his life to spreading Krishna consciousness and the chanting of the Holy Name throughout the world.
Chanting, hearing about Krishna, serving devotees and living with devotion help purify the heart and bring real happiness.
Everyone can take to Krishna consciousness regardless of age, nationality or background.
At Naamsindhu, we pray that more people discover the joy of chanting the Holy Name and develop a deeper connection with Lord Krishna.
